The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) and the Department of Energy Resources (DOER) today announced the launch of the $875,000 Commonwealth Home Heating and Cooling program, which provides homeowners with grants of up to $10,000 to install high-efficiency heating and cooling systems known as heat pumps.
Heat pumps can provide cost-effective and energy-efficient heating, cooling, and water heating for your home, offering a reliable alternative to traditional heating technologies. Heat pumps require electricity to operate, but an efficient heat pump can provide the same amount of heating or cooling for a third of electricity.
The Commonwealth Home Heating and Cooling program offers grants for both air-source and ground-source heat pumps. To learn more about the two technologies, visit MassCEC's About Heat Pumps page.
Information about program specifications and application instructions can be found on the program page.
