It is time for the Geothermal industry to have a strong, unified voice in the renewable energy discussion. While increased efforts toward energy independence and carbon reduction have created considerable activity and funding, most attention has focused on wind and solar. Misconceptions about the effectiveness of Geothermal technology and installation costs have hindered the adoption of Geothermal Systems as viable alternative energy sources. Our goal is to address issues about Geothermal Systems that are specific to New England. We will educate the public and advocate with policy makers as well as utilities to get the same consideration and incentives for Geothermal Systems as the other renewables.
